High academic standards are a hallmark of a Catholic education. For centuries, Catholic schools have been distinguished for providing a truly excellent environment that prepares children for college and life ahead.
Students in our Catholic schools achieve higher than their peers on standardized tests like the Iowa Assessment and ACT. Our 2022 graduation rate was again 100 percent. Nearly 90 percent of our high school graduates will head off to college this fall. We have 9 percent of our students opting for military service.
High school students have many different opportunities to earn dual credit and college credit through our partnerships with local community colleges.
We recognize that each child is unique. Using MTSS (multi-tiered system of supports) instruction is based on diverse learner needs. Our Catholic Schools help students to develop strong moral character and to build strong communication and critical thinking skills to prepare them for the 21st century.
Assessments
Students in grades 3-11 are tested annually. Our students routinely outperformed their Iowa peers in all subjects tested! (State of Iowa assessments were not taken in 2020 due to Covid 19)
Spring 2021
The Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) are assessments developed by Iowa Testing Programs at the University of Iowa for the state of Iowa. The assessments are aligned with the Iowa Core standards and provide a clear and accurate assessment of student learning outcomes. Student growth, proficiency and readiness indicators will be reported.
