The foundation’s mission is to ensure that children with disabilities can attend a diocesan Catholic school alongside their siblings and friends. Deacon Dan Goebel who will be presented the Good Shepherd Award this fall from Bishop Nickless. Deacon Dan started as the Director of Religious Education and Faith Formation this year and continues to coach volleyball. Congratulations!

Deb Peters from St. Mary’s Catholic School will receive an Excellence in Education Award from Bishop Nickless this fall. Peters has been a Catholic school teacher for 24-years and is currently the Reading Interventionist. Congratulations!

Mrs. Deb Franzenburg was presented with the Good Shepherd Award by Patty Lansink. This award recognizes staff members who are going above and beyond serving in their community. Congratulations Deb!

Tickets are now on sale for the Cash Raffle to benefit Catholic schools in the Diocese of Sioux City. The $100 raffle tickets will be sold this fall to fund thousands of dollars in grants for each of the 15 school systems.

Summer is nearly over as school will begin soon. Catholic schools in the Diocese of Sioux City will begin classes on August 23, 2024. Enrollment at our 15 school systems is estimated to be roughly 6200 students.
